All in A Week(end)’s Work (plus some blogging help please)!

I have no idea how to title these things anymore.

My highlights of the week are so similar that they really don’t have any titles.  Maybe I’ll just give it a segment name, once I figure out something witty and fun 🙂

Moving right into  this past week..it was a short work week because of Labor Day weekend and the weekend came incredibly fast with a few little fun things!

1) Completing Nike Training Club program on Saturday night

nike training club

Its been hard to get back on this whole working out routine.  The first was the hardest of the program where I felt my body didn’t belong to me.  I could barely do push-ups anymore and every move was a mega chore.  By this last week, I was able to pull off a good bit of burpees, push-ups, even figured out the whole plank row deal once and for all.  I’ve sweated buckets and buckets of sweat over the last few weeks and although I did the Getting Lean (Intermediate without running) program and I’m not sure I got that lean but it sure did make me feel absolutely fantastic 🙂

Now its back to one or two weeks of self-disciplined workouts.  If I can keep it up for a month thats great, if not, I’m jumping back into Nike Training Club for the Getting Toned program.

2) ARROW Season 1

arrow cast

Montreal Comiccon is this coming weekend and for that, I went on the mission to binge-watch Arrow Season 1. Arrow is amazing.  I love the main character but everyone else is fantastic.  Its absolutely fun to watch and I’m pretty sure I’ll be done in a night or two at the pace I’m going 🙂 I’m going to admit that I love watch Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen doing those crazy workouts (shirtless of course), I also love the rest of the cast. Everyone is just so awesome! 🙂

I think the CW dishes out the most series that I like. Its pretty amazing!

3) After Work Adventures: RedBall Project

RedBall Project

Through the RedBall Project I utilize my opportunity as an artist to be a catalyst for new encounters within the everyday. Through the magnetic, playful, and charismatic nature of the RedBall the work is able to access the imagination embedded in all of us. On the surface, the experience seems to be about the ball itself as an object, but the true power of the project is what it can create for those who experience it. It opens a doorway to imagine what if?…That invitation to engage, to collectively imagine, is the true essence of the RedBall Project. The larger arc of the project is how each city responds to that invitation and, over time, what the developing story reveals about our individual and cultural imagination.Kurt Perschke

RedBall Project is travelling the world to spark imagination.  Has it landed in your city yet? You can check it out: HERE

4) After Work Adventures: Fountain House

Fountain House

Fountain House is a temporary exhibit on the streets on Montreal.  Its built on the concept of water flowing throughout and the idea to celebrate drinking water.

The Fountain House is first and foremost a space open to the public, like a park. Inside, at the centre, there is a basin with water flowing in it. Why did we choose to celebrate drinking water, a public good that might seem rather mundane? Precisely because we take it for granted, and we tend to forget the previous generations that built the infrastructure that now allows us to benefit from this resource.- Quartier des Spectacles

Its open to the public till October 26th.  It has water flowing down the center, the plants on the side grow (I presume), and they have stairs to go up where you can look out into downtown around us.  I love water so this was a pretty sweet concept.

5) Getting out right in time

Montreal

On Friday evening, the sky went dark shortly I left work.  Taking my time, I’m walking to the bus terminus, hoping that it doesn’t rain.  And then it does.  I feel the first drop and then the drops come a lot faster right when I spot where I am and dash up the stairs to the OACI building, which is part of the underground passages in Montreal.  As I went in, I got out of the rain right in time.  Another 10 seconds and I would’ve been completely soaked.  Yay to perfect timing or should I say, being at the right place at the right time 🙂

6) Saturday: Friend’s Birthday Brunch and Shopping Ventures

Saturday was one of my very good friend’s birthday.  He’s almost like my brother and we hang out quite a bit.  For his birthday, I usually offer to take him out for a meal, this year it was at this brunch place in Old Montreal that he’s been talking about forever called Le Cartet

That was possibly the best brunch I’ve had ever.  For one, the coming in the cast iron pan made it so delicious and a very unique experience.  Plus, everything was cooked in duck fat which just melts in your mouth.  Except it also means, I probably won’t eat this all the time, for my health’s sake.

After that, he wanted to go shopping so we went on a little venture around town and ended up in Mountain Equipment Coop out across town since that one is gigantic.  I managed to get my boyfriend and I a new hiking backpack and got myself a yoga brick because I’m not flexible and to avoid injuries. One of the few purchases that day, along with a few movies: The Shining, Moon, Weird Science.

A very fantastic day with good company and nice chats! Hanging out with friends is really quite awesome! 🙂

7) Sunday Gardening 1: Fern

Fern

Everything deserves a chance.  With that in mind, I decided to give my fern a second chance.  It was looking monstrously huge and just totally out of control.  I gave it a little trimming and pruning.  Took some branches out (dead and alive), shrunk its size and gave it some structure and voila! I think its looking pretty nice! 🙂

8) Sunday Gardening: Autumn Flowers

Autumn Chrysanthemum

I haven’t quite finished with fixing up the side area in the front yard but I pulled out the frustrating vine plant and now the area is completely clean after I cut a part of the tall stems that are done blooming.  Things are starting to look good.  This week, Rona had a fantastic sale on Autumn Chrysanthemums so I thought it’d look nice in that spot. After a lot of pulling and cutting and shovelling, these two got planted and ready.  The one on the right is coral and the left is orange chrysanthemums 🙂

I can’t wait to see them bloom!

Now to end this off, there are a few highlights which I’m going to give an update for some coming blogging stuff!

  • I have drafted a general list of movies that I’d like to watch for Halloween marathon but I’d also like to give you all a chance to choose what you’d like to see so I’ll be putting together a small poll soon.
  • The original plan to do recommendations month in September is not happening as I want to continue to put extra focus on books so BRING ON MORE INDEPENDENT WRITERS!
  • Pinterest Therapy session coming up!
  • I owed you all a review showing my new movie crush. That did not happen last week unfortunately since I’m shifting my schedule a little, but it will go up in the next few days 🙂
  • Following that, I’ve been thinking of making a new segment either for Crush of the Week (or something along those lines), highlighting an actor (or sometimes actresses). Maybe it’ll be a monthly basis.  It really depends how impressed I am with what I’m watching. Is that a yes or no for you?

To recap, a few questions this week:

Do you know where to find online yoga routines?  Have you seen Arrow? Have you started fall gardening yet and what are your favorite autumn flowers?

What do you think about a new segment for sexy actors or beautiful actresses?

Thats all for today! Happy Monday! 🙂

Is Summer Already Ending?

How’s weather for you lovely bloggers? This weekend has been ridiculously chilly in Montreal.  Its dropped to about 10-15C during the day.  Thats a huge difference to the beautiful weekend we had last week.  The sun is gone, the rain is falling hard and the wind is coming in a little also. At least Sunday afternoon warmed up a little more and I managed to do help with some painting and then went outside to scrap up the leaves from our trees that already started shedding in the front yard.

I’m struggling to find things that happened this past week that happened so I’m going to see what little bits I can come up with.

1) Guardians of the Galaxy and A Month Full of Anticipated Movies!

I’m definitely behind with all these movie reviews but truth is, I max out a little with writing these reviews so my brain is demanding a break.  Its the reason why I took so long to have the last review to wrap up Fantasia Festival (which I completed yesterday) and I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last week and totally forgot to mention it, even if the stranger next to me was super abnormal.  Thank you Cineplex for armrests that go up so that I could scoot closer to my boyfriend and enjoy the movie 😉 Review for that coming up!

August is a beautiful month FULL of movies that I want to see: Expendables 3, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, If I Stay, The Giver.  I’ll have to make choices.  It looks like I’ll be giving up The Giver for now and I’m still on the fence for If I Stay.  It all depends on how much time life is going to give me 😉

mental fitness2) Week 1: Nike Training Club- Getting Lean Program

Last week, I started getting back into yoga.  On Monday, I seriously didn’t want to even think about starting the program again.  However, I thought about it and you know, its all in my head: If I believe I can do it, I know I can push through. 100% mental so its time to push.  I slacked off for 4 months, its time to pick up the pace and get back into the beat of things. Tuesday, I pushed myself to start  the program.

I’ve done the Getting Toned program before and that was pretty intense.  Somehow, I don’t know if its just that I haven’t done intense workouts in a long time but every single one in this Getting Lean (even the Dynamic Yoga) made me sweat buckets.  Its disgusting but at least I know my body is working hard and I’m being super nice and trying to rehydrate myself a lot.

Plus, did I tell you that I’ve been doing a 30 day detox from alcohol? I’m at my 3rd week and its been pretty awesome 🙂 Its really just a personal thing since I had a bunch of parties and wedding and whatnot in July and I drank a lot more than usual.  I felt that my body needed a little break from it all.

3) Garden harvest

wpid-20140817_161327.jpg

As the weather is slowly getting chilly and reminding us that fall is getting closer, the upside is that we now have constant harvest.  Sure, I was really  just testing the waters this year so nothing seemed to be in abundance but although not shown here, my raspberries are getting ripe every few days and we always have 4 or 5 to try whenever we go harvest.  Then, I finally got fed up of my boyfriend not harvesting the lettuce so I went ahead and did it. Maybe we will have one more batch before it gets cold? Who knows.  A leaf stunted the growth of my Zucchini so I had to harvest it.  I did so some pruning of the leaves to give room to the four that seem to be growing 🙂

Gardeners, what are you harvests?

4) More TV!

On Friday night, I realized that Netflix is going to expire Pan Am in September so since it only had one season, I gave it a watch.

Pan Am

Pan Am gave me a few little surprises. One was that I was hooked and ended up watching it till 3am and then woke up and continued watching for another few hours.  After going out to take care of stuff for the house, I came home that night and finished it up. Second was that it has my absolute favorite French-Canadian star Karine Vanasse and she is absolutely lovely.  I adore her character. Third is the very handsome Mike Vogel, who reminds me that I need to catch up with the current season of Under the Dome 🙂

Then, I ask why did they cancel this series? It was so awesome! Classy and so much fun.  All the characters were great and the story was fantastic.

Of course that doesn’t end there.  On Friday night, I hung out with two friends watching TV and chatting.  We ended up watching reruns of Shark Tank and it reminded me that I hadn’t seen Dragon’s Den in ages and Netflix has it.

Dragon's Den

So there I was on Sunday starting to devour the 3 seasons available to me 🙂 Still watching Season 6 right now but its pretty awesome!

Aside from that, the other series to expire is two seasons of Justified and a movie called Like Crazy.

Any series you’re catching up with now?

5) Ready to start the eventful months + Planning!

I always try to keep my blog busy and I’ve slowed down a little in the last 2 months just in general to not burnout from everything.  With life in full blaze and picking up the pace with my new house (painting, furniture, arranging and the garden) and work, its really hard to balance. These few months have given me time to think up a few little things and refocus.  I have a few projects I want to start by 2015 but whether you are new or not, I’m personally very proud of my little recommendations month and I’m happy that I’m extending that FINALLY to books.  I already made the official announcement on Friday but just in case, till the end of August, the primary focus will turn to books on my ebook reader from independent writers.  I actually have a perfect timing for the first author I’m about to talk about 😉

Moving on, I hope to continue into September with this and add on movies but seeing as I already did a Recommendations month earlier this year, I’m still deciding on that.

A little glimpse at whats coming up also is possibly the most popular month:

October and Halloween month 😉 I have an event ready and I’m deciding on what marathon to do.  I think I might have promised Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th BUT, that comes with the condition that I have to have finished moving and ALL my and my boyfriend’s DVDs have been organized.

December and Christmas month..also wondering how to approach that this year since I’ve burnt through A LOT of Chrismas movies already.

Still, it’ll be busy and there will be lots of planning 🙂

6) ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

By now, a lot of you would have heard of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.  My friend nominated me on Sunday evening for it so I asked my boyfriend to freeze up some ice and came over to help me film this last night.  I nominated three of my girl friends and hopefully they’ll carry forward with it 😉

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10154501204580504

I’m not very saavy with this so I’m hoping the link will work for you as well.  If not, I’ll figure out how to embed the video right after my boyfriend sends it to me.

Have you been called out to this challenge yet?

7) The Power of Music

1 song

I’ve always connected to music strongly so when I saw this quote, it has stuck to me.  Sometimes, I go back and look for music to commemorate a certain time in my life.  At times, I even subconsciously would do it for a renowned singer or just go back to music my dad and I would listen to when I was young.  Sometimes, it just the meaning of what the music meant to me back then.  Every relationship (not limited to love) can be related to at least one theme song and thats what makes life so awesome 🙂

 8) Epic Patty Cake Song

Looks so fun! 🙂

Thats all for me today! Its already taken me a few days to put this together!

HAPPY TUESDAY, MY LOVELIES!

Ends, Beginnings and Everything in Between!

A lot to talk about this week.  Well, kind of! Lets just get straight to the 8 little bits and pieces 😉

1) End of Fantasia Film Festival 2014

I had a blast at Fantasia Film Festival this year. After 11 movies, I learned a lot about myself and the way I understood movies and just a lot about movies and their purposes in general. If you want to check my reviews, click on the menu and Movies, Festivals, Fantasia 😉

If not, here is the list of the movies and I’ll link it to the reviews I’ve done and update as it goes!

Fantasia Film Festival 2014

Open Windows
I Origins
Cybernatural
The Harvest
Jack et la Mecanique du Coeur
Hal/short: Sonny Boy and Dewdrop Girl
Into the Storm
Dys-/short: I am Monster
The Drownsman/short: Picket
Time Lapse
The Demon Within

I still have 1 movie to review for the festival.  They will be going up soon!

2) Resuming workout

There is nothing to say but that I’ve really taken a LONG break from working out.  I still go out to bike rides and did some jogging in between but I’m ready to get right back into it now.  This week, I got in two 20 minutes yoga sessions and some other activities which I’ll talk about in a little bit later of this post!  Here’s the awesome yoga sessions if you’re interested:

Starting next week, I should resume with the 4 weeks Nike Training Club program (if everything goes as planned), I might just boost up my strength with some random circuits first and start the week after!

3) Catching up with TV!

This week, I finished Season 7 of Psych.  Thanks to Netflix for updating it!

Psych

Psych has its up and down moments.  There are some episodes which are a bit meh.  I can’t really blame it since its at season 7 now.  However, compared to season 7, this totally rocked.  I particularly LOVED the season 7 finale. I’m going to try to find Season 8 now since thats the final season and I hate to keep these things hanging.

true blood season 7

I also took the time this week to catch up on True Blood.  I like to watch them in bundles of episodes just so some stupid episode endings don’t bother me as much.  I was about 3 episodes behind so I sat down and took care of that. Its the series finale in just a few episodes and honestly, I’m still not quite sure if I like where everything is going.

My goal this little while is to keep up with True Blood and Pretty Little Liars, so next line of business will be to catch up with the last 3 episodes of that. I will be binge watching Season 1 of Arrow right after though 😉

What series have you been watching?

4) (Kind of) Secret Weekend Getaway!

IMG_6221

My boyfriend and I went off on a weekend getaway this past weekend.  One of the reasons why I’ve been slightly quiet and well, I didn’t even bother to say anything because since we’re just a few hours up north, I had my cell that worked and its a little escape.  A few of my friends knew about it and our parents but in general, its just a little bit of a breather to recharge.

We did some hiking (a part of resuming my workout) and we did some visiting in Saguenay region in Quebec.  Its about a 5 hours drive or so away and we had a lot of fun.  I’ll be posting about the few places we went in the next week.

As much as we love buying a house together and spending every living moment making it ours, its nice to just get away by ourselves and take a little break.

5) Lovely Surprises in the Garden

Raspberry

Hello raspberries! Thats right! I amped up the bottles for self-watering system in the raspberry plants and when I came back, I had some ripe raspberries waiting for me.  There’s still a good bunch waiting to ripen but so far they are delicious and sweet. My mom was also a sweetheart and dropped by to help me water the plants to keep the soil wet during our very hot weekend.

I have some strawberry, yellow zucchini and tomato harvests happening and coming up.

There are few other things on my agenda for the garden:

  • Orange thyme harvesting and drying,
  • Figuring out why my basil all died and was so weak when it was alive,
  • Looking at the uses of lemongrass and how to harvest it,
  • Searching up what to do and how to harvest lemon verbena.

Plus, I have to figure out my front yard and pull out some over abundant plants and by the end of the season, shift some plants around.

Green thumbs anyone?

6) Geeking out!

Mario and Dinobot Yoshi!

Mario and Dinobot Yoshi!

While I was on the getaway, I used my ton of overtime and took Friday off.  Much to my surprise, somehow this package arrived that exact day.  Thank goodness, the mailman was great and put it in my mailbox.  Its a tank top that I ordered from For Human Peoples and its the totally awesome crossover of Transformers and Mario.  Excuse me, Dinobot Yoshi! Allow me to geek out just a little bit and tell you that I saw this and I knew that I had to own it!

*ahem* I’ve regained myself a little! Moving along…

7) Finding the Perfect Gluten-Free Article from Popsugar Fitness

Click on the image to get to the article! 🙂

what not to say GF

Everyone read this already? So, some of you know that I’ve been trying to go gluten-free.  I’m about 80% there.  I’ve cut out a lot of foods including bread and I make an effort to make and buy lots of gluten-free products.  Its helpful because now it opens up the options I never had when I was just dealing with lactose intolerance.  Except, cutting gluten and lactose is like double hard and I absolutely hate it when people make it harder.

What really gets me all the time with any food intolerance is “just give it a bite, it won’t kill you” or “Its all your head”.

If gluten-free was me doing this just to have fun and lose weight, sure thing but its not.  I truly believe that its going to make my life a lot better and reduce a lot of this recurring discomfort from IBS symptoms.  Just to make things clear, its really hard to go gluten-free.  Almost everything on store shelves has gluten, its really a pain so lets refrain from any comments that will just make it worse.  Because no, its not in my head and no, it won’t kill me but it will put me in a state where I’d like you to kill me.  You know, just to skip the disgusting details….

Rant over but that article made me laugh a little 🙂

8) Home is Where My Cat Is 😉

My Cat Taking up All the Space

My Cat Taking up All the Space

My cat is a huge baby and she’s the princess of the house.  She’s making a point that she’s hot and that she deserves the best spot in the house where the wind hits or the A/C.  So here’s her the night before I left for my getaway and not letting me sleep.  And she’s not joking, she’s in full dream mode 😉

By the way, Aeropostale actually has a shirt with “My Home Is Where My Cat Is” . Its true though.  I always miss my little girl (even if she hogs the bed).

BEFORE I SAY THE GOOD NIGHTS…

Here’s a little something to help you go to sleep a la Disney style 😉

Its getting late, so I’m off to bed! 🙂

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Week 50: This is My Therapy!

Week 50 continues on with the Nike Training Club app and the Get Toned program that I’ve been following for the past two weeks.  If you haven’t seen it before, you can check out Week 1 HERE and Week 2 HERE!

Moving into Week 3, I’m starting to see the changes where it ups the muscular endurance a bit more with slightly longer workouts. The program sticks to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday workout days which I kept with as this week was busy and I didn’t have time to add anything extra.

Tuesday was the same workout I’ve done in the past two, 30 minutes Kickin’ It.  You can find that in the above 2 links.  This time around, its becoming easier to complete.  I still have trouble with the broad jumps and tuck jumps.  However, I’ve been able to control how soft I land and do more reps within the same length of time.

Wednesday is yoga day.  This week, we break out of normal yoga and head into Leah Kim’s 45 minutes Advanced Yoga.

45 mins Leah Kim Advanced Yoga Workout

Leah Kim’s Advanced Yoga Workout

Although there isn’t a visual and I would have preferred that for a few of these moves, Leah Kim does give a good vocal walkthrough instructions.  Plus, I know some of these from before.  The last bit with the Closed Hip and Open Hip Series was the hardest because it required a lot from my balance and over the last few weeks, I’ve learned that I have trouble balancing on my left leg.  This one is more intense but its refreshing to see more challenges in the yoga routine. It definitely did re-energize me.

Thursday goes into another 45 minutes workout, as was the case for the past two weeks also. This week, we have what they called Body Buffer Workout.

NTC Body Buffer

45 mins. NTC Body Buffer

Body Buffer strings together a lot of workouts that don’t usually seem hard but when done one after another, it hits another level of challenge.  I really enjoyed it.  It challenged my body.  However, the real hard part started at the plank walks, because thats when its about the 30 minutes point and there’s been already so much done before using similar muscles.  Plus, I naturally have a hard time with this one specifically.  A new one that I’ve done rarely is the Squat flips with 180 degree turns.  Crazy Ivans are also pretty intense to do.  Whats nice is after that, you know you go into stretching and it releases all the pain.

I was extremely happy to get my Friday off. It was nice to give my body a rest.  On Saturday, I did this one right before dinner since it was the only time slot I had. It was only a 30 minutes one called Curve Carver.

NTC Curve Carver

NTC 30 mins Curve Carver

Honestly, as tiring as some of these are.  Curve Carve was the more relaxing one of this week.  Suitcases did murder my abs, Push Away Balance was challenging for both legs and arms. And those Single leg clock squats are also quite intense for the leg muscles. Plus, the final dose of Plank walks was the toughest.  I’ll get better in time.  Every time I do it, I always see improvement 🙂

There’s my Week 50! 2 more weeks to go! I think I’ve made my final decision on whats going to happen with this one after you’ve witnessed my year. I’ll announce that in Week 52 or in a separate post 🙂 I promise it won’t disappoint, ok? I really love working out and it doesn’t mean I’ll stop working out either.  Actually, its become so much of a part of my life that this is one of the reasons I train.  ITS MY THERAPY!

my therapy

It keeps me focused and balanced mentally and physically stronger and healthier.  I feel more energized 🙂 Love it!

Lets bring it! One more week before I’m done this program! I should’ve tracked my body and results before I started but oh well…whats done is done, right?

Have you tried the Nike Training Club app?

Week 48: Exploring a New Program with NTC!

A few weeks ago, I downloaded this app onto my phone and I’ve been trying to figure out how to make it work.  Apparently, connecting to Facebook didn’t work so I just signed up for new account and voila, the Nike Training Club app worked.

Earlier this week, I started setting up my Nike+ account and decided to choose which program to use and I chose “Get Toned”.  It has been what I’ve been working on for the past while so after consulting with my boyfriend, he agreed it was what I should be doing also.  After choosing that one, the app set me up with 4 workouts scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for 4 weeks!

I figured instead of having to figure out what to do spontaneously, which is what I do and it sometimes kills my motivation, I decided to give it a shot. I jotted down in my notebook each of the workouts since I’m not all fancy and able to do lovely pics (which I should learn to do).  I just hope you can read my writing.

First workout up is Tuesday’s 30 minute workout called Kickin’ It!

NTC Kickin' It

NTC 30 mins Kickin’ It

Sorry for the mistake there.  That 1 min Squat Jumps is supposed to be there. And the scribble in the bottom is “IT Band Stretch with Resistance Band”. Now for the actual workout, Kickin’ It was pretty good.  it was a great to really feel my heart rate.  Whats awesome about each of this and the following ones (except yoga maybe) is that there are always warm-up and end with some form of stretching.  It works the full body so it feels great! 🙂

Wednesday is when I started to get how this program worked a bit more and I realized that this app is pretty cool because you can get a short demo video of how to do the move which is always helpful especially for dynamic yoga and I’m a mega beginner.

NTC Leah Kim Dynamic Yoga

NTC Leah Kim’s 15 mins Dynamic Yoga

The world of dynamic yoga is pretty crazy. The ending of this was intense especially with the different forms of side planks. I was pretty much screaming at the app to relieve some pain.  It was intense. Still, hating it just means it was targeting my weaknesses and with time, it’ll get better.  The one that was really challenging is crow pose.  That one will take a lot of practice.

Thursday brought on the 45 minutes workout and this was a mega sweat session called Stinger.

NTC 45 min Stinger Workout

NTC 45 mins Stinger

The sweat session was really in the length and the repeat of the sequence for 3 times. Plus, a lot of it was also that it was a lot of new moves that I’ve never done before so my body had to adapt to that.  By the third round, my body was tired but more fluent with the moves.

I was so happy to take Friday off and then last night, I did Saturday’s workout Flex Machine (my boyfriend laughed the name).

NTC Flex Machine

NTC 30 mins Flex Machine

THE most intense workout of this week had to be this one.  It had to do a lot with the middle part with lunges, lateral hops and froggers.  I hate froggers with a passion because I have zero endurance with this.  On top of that, with all the energy zapped out of me, I had to do toe touches when I barely could keep my legs upright, much less push through to do toe touches.

I have to say it felt great to get back to some intense workout weeks.  I love doing the 4 times a week workout schedules.  I do intend to keep up with this for their full program so it should carry on pretty much till  Week 51 and then for the last week for this weekly workout sessions, I’ll figure out something to somewhat celebrate the one year mark 🙂

I don’t like to advertise or anything on my site but I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with Nike Training App, especially since its free and it pretty much has a instructor that calls out the time and tells you when to change your workout and it takes into account the getting equipment and getting into place before moving onto the next exercise.  Its pretty well thought out and I’ve learned a lot of new moves for warm-up, stretches and the actual exercises.  Lets see if it’ll actually tone my body just a little while I adjust back to eating well again.

strive for progress

Also, if you’d like to try the workouts and you can’t read my writing, just tell me.  I’ll tell you what it says.  I don’t have the best handwriting…

Have you tried Nike Training App? Any other apps you know good for working out?
