Black Friday Haul

Its kind of tradition now to share some of my hauls. To be honest, this year I went into Black Friday with only one specific thing in my mind and it was to get necessities. Of course, what I think and what I end up doing is completely different but I’d like to think that I kept to my budget fairly well. Its been a tough year but we’re working through stuff. Consider this my annual retail therapy as early this year, I cut that part of my lifestyle out. Its been an uphill climb but I’ve been pretty good about it.

Either way, enough about my mini reality check! Let’s check out what I managed to pick up.

Dynamite – Pants

Dynamite

Let’s get priorities out of the way first. I kid you not that I haven’t bought new pants for at least 3 to 4 years. I have proof on this blog because I talked about buying my previous pants and leggings in another haul, possibly Black Friday also. I also happen to not have a ton of pants so I honestly have been needing to get new pants so here we are, Dynamite Clothing is my go-to place for work clothes mostly and they had a 40% sale and free shipping online so I bought 2 pairs of the same design but different colors.

Zulily – Clothes and Accessories

Zulily

In the same desperate situation for myself is getting some new clothes suitable for work. I bought 2 shirts (suitable for winter) for myself, 1 zip-up hoodie for my husband and a new pair of mittens. For those unfamiliar with Zulily, there is never ever free shipping because of whatever rules and such. I’m not sure if its a Canada thing and the duties that has to be paid. Either way, free shipping was available for any orders over $49 which is easily achievable on Zulily so yay, free shipping and handling. The order is taking a while to get there so I have nothing to show for those purchases.

Cineplex – $1 Movie Rentals

  • Ready Player One
  • John Wick: Chapter 2

I have completely stopped buying movies unless I know that I’ll rewatch it at some point. With that said, my main source of films are now Netflix or $1 rentals. The $1 rental choices on Cineplex vary quite a bit but with a little bit of patience, just like this Black Friday deals, I managed to rent  two films I’ve wanted to see this year. Pretty excited about that. I’ve heard good things about both of these films so they will have to be watched before the end of the year.

Michael’s – Christmas Decorations and Frames

The original plan for Michael’s was to just get the frames. It was buy one, get one free, which works well. Not quite last year’s Boxing Day sale but we had an art that we bought from this year’s Montreal Comiccon that we wanted to frame for Christmas so I bought two. Michael’s is my death especially when they have the 60% off sale. Either way, I tried to reel in my crazy and bought these new decorations for the tree and floral. The picture doesn’t do justice to the fake poinsettia decoration because it is just gorgeous.

David’s Tea – Tea

sticky rice oolong

David’s Tea

  • Sticky Rice Oolong

I love a lot of green teas. Dragonwell is possibly absolute favorite one. However, the year before I found Sticky Rice Oolong at David’s Tea, just before it was taken off because I never found it again. This tea is divine. I mean, it is divine and that probably has to do with the fact that I love sticky rice. So when I saw that they had it as online exclusive and there was the cyber monday sale, I was in. Even if it wasn’t originally intended and I have more than enough tea at home to get through. Let’s just hope it wasn’t fake hope and it turns out they don’t have stock. I’m having that fear as I wait for it to arrive.

Games

  • The Room: Old Sins (Google Play)
  • She Remembered Caterpillars (Steam)
  • Life is Strange: Before the Storm – DLC Episode (Steam)

The original plan was to not get any games but some of the games or DLC episode was one that I hadn’t seen on such a discount ever so I decided to pick it up. It honestly cost like $10 all three together so I’m pretty happy with these purchases. Plus, a dive back into Life is Strange: Before the Storm to round out that playthrough and The Room is incredibly overdue.

Ottawa 2018 Haul!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the radio silence yesterday and well…today as well, I guess! Its been a bit of taking time off every week to sort out my own stuff. Usually, this weekend is when my friend has his Ottawa half marathon and I tag along to help him out. However, this year, I opted out of this duty. Instead, my husband and I both went down to Ottawa to hang out for a little today before his first race for the 5 km. Its humid and a little rainy and well, the sun has arrived back in Montreal but not sure how its doing in Ottawa since I’m home as I’m typing this.

The trip came with a lot of stuff on the to-do list. Yes, I shop with to-do lists if not, I might end up going crazy and just buy everything or sit there and be indecisiveness. Shopping with a goal is what my husband calls it. With that said, we had an idea of what places to hit at Rideau Center and Ottawa before heading back home. This is as timely as this post can get because we just unloaded and I took pictures and here we are!

Rideau Centre

Eddie Bauer

Eddie Bauer

Marathon weekend is always sales weekend for Eddie Bauer. Normally, Eddie Bauer’s stuff is expensive and usually rightfully so because its very durable especially for the hiking lovers like me and my husband. However, the only time we buy it is during sale time or else it would just be way out of budget. This year was a 40% off on everything in store. We both wanted to get new caps and new hiking pants. I got the blue capris and the blue cap and he got the beige pants that can be changed to shorts and the lighter color cap.

Disney Store

Disney Store

For those who don’t know, I collect Disney plushies. I had stopped the actual normal sized plushies for a while and was trying to get all the Animator series ones which are much more reasonable in storage. Regardless of that, when I see one that I like, I always tend to pick it up. I’m actually planning on keeping track of my collection over on Avenue of Daydreams some time this year. It would be fun to have an archive of the many things I collect and that seemed like a nice place to do it. Either way, Flower from Bambi was on sale so I picked it up. At the same time, I also saw little Piglet as well. I have a Tigger which is in the same style. These two were definitely coming home with me.

Squish Candy

Squish Candy

Last year I had gone to Squish and got the Prosecco Bears and they were super delicious. They expanded their cocktail line and this time, my husband chose the Bourbon Cubes ans Sake Sakura and I chose the Wine O’Clock. I’m hoping that these will turn out to be equally delicious. They had a few other ones with sangria and such and those definitely has peaked my interest but for another time.

LCBO

LCBO

Embracing the love of trying out VQA Ontario wines, LCBO was a must-go. I found a Riesling to try out eventually and my husband’s colleague had recommended the Big House Pinot Grigio and we saw it so we ended up picking up the bottle and he wanted to also get the can version. As for myself, I also saw another Cider from Brickworks Ciderhouse. I had tried another one earlier this year and was really impressed so having some high hopes for this one also.

Second Stop: T&T Supermarket

T&T Supermarket T&T Supermarket T&T Supermarket

I mean, I’m pretty much thinking about groceries all the time so T&T Supermarket is always one of my stops. I don’t usually post about it but this time, we had some interesting finds. The herbal drinks from Hung Fook Tong had a new flavor. My husband picked out the Orange Ramune soda drink. I always get some dimsum, which I did but ended up eating on the trip back so not shown here. But there is also some pot stickers and vietnamese chicken lunch box and some BBQ Pork. The main goal this time was to get some sticky rice for the Dragonboat Festival. They had fresh ones which would be preferable if I had gone 2 weeks later but for now, I got the frozen in case I don’t end up going. However, the snacks we picked (and saw) were quite unique to say the least. Lay’s had these cucumber chips (and they also had lime flavor). I wonder if its an excuse to feel like you were being healthier when making that choice. Then we saw these Potato Wish brand which had the Steak and Red Wine Flavor and well, it looks like Ringolos but they are called Roller Coaster.

That’s it for the haul!
Nothing too special but a few unique finds!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Toronto & EGLX Haul!

We sneaked off for a little work and play trip to Toronto to cover EGLX and explored a little. To be accurate, we were in the surrounding Toronto areas and stayed in Markham. And of course, we met up with Drew from Drew’s Movie Reviews, my darling Ultimate Decades Blogathon co-host like the past two years for celebration and fun friends hangout. This year, we decided to not go to Toronto Comicon and switched it to EGLX (Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo…something like that).

With that said, we picked up a few things here and there.

First stop: Pacific Mall

Glasses at Noble Optical

I have gotten my last three pairs of glasses here and my husband got his last pair here so when time to change, we got our new prescriptions and came to look for a new pair. He ended up with his 4th pair in a row of Hugo Boss glasses (never intended) and I had some struggles with this year’s style and ended up with a slightly bigger frame Ray-ban. Never thought I would get Ray-bans but they had a lovely matte finish and looked pretty good. I am still adapting to this new look but it happens all the time after a big purchase.

Noble Optical is pretty cool because they can get the glasses done the day of purchase which is useful for us because we come from out of town so we wanted it to adapt to new glasses over the weekend with our new prescriptions and everything worked out great.

The Best Shop

A little houseware shopping here as we picked up some kitchenware and a shower curtain. Nothing special just a little random purchases we found.

Egg Rolls

A staple of Toronto is picking up these sweet egg rolls usually as a little gift. They are delicious.

Location: Toronto Zoo
Toronto Zoo Cap

My husband loves caps. He gets a good few every year and the Toronto Zoo one had nice colors and the logo was really stylish. So it worked well for him.

Victoria’s Secret

I initially went into Victoria’s Secret to see what style of sports bras were available and whether they were on sale. To my surprise, the quality and design just wasn’t what I wanted. Walking out I saw these T-shirt bras that were so cute plus they had a 2 for $55 sale so I went for it, considering one is usually $43.

LCBO

It wouldn’t be a trip to Ontario without stopping at LCBO for some VQA wines which we can rarely find in SAQ stores. First one is the seasonal rose wine called Sibling Rivalry. The next is a new tasting white Moscato wine called Fresh Beginnings. My husband chose the Innis and Gunn ale beer and I chose a local apple cider drink called Queen Street 501 by Brickstreet Ciderhouse. The next wine recap will review these ones.

Location: EGLX 2018

Studio VTAS

The big day for the trip was definitely EGLX for myself since it is kind of work and play. We didn’t pick up any games however, we did have a goal to fill up a few walls in our house with art and we found two places that we just loved. I had never seen these two artists either so it was a lovely find. The first above is from Studio VTAS. Not sure what the name is exactly but you can find her on Instagram and Twitter. The silhouette ones are beautiful. She also has a fantastic Studio Ghibli collection. Lots of great art here.

Mariya Haponenko

The second artist created these original art called Crystal Monsters at least the one on the right is that. There is an obvious influence for its general design but its inspired by the galaxy and botany for artist Mariya Haponenko. They were slightly pricey but I do love to support indie artists and they were just too awesome to pass up. I love the design of the galaxy one but the botany ones have a really cool technique of pressing glass together or something like that. I’m not artist but the way she described it was very cool.

Location: Vaughan Mills
Disney Store

In theme with yesterday’s Moana review, I actually picked up Pua. There was a sweet deal on plushes at the Disney outlet there and I just couldn’t resist. On a side note, over on Avenue of Daydreams, I will be archiving my Disney plush collection. Still thinking of how to structure it but it will happen soon.

Location: Big Apple

Final stop whenever we go to Toronto by car is The Big Apple where they have a ton of pies and other apple baked goods. This, time, my husband wanted the brownies (not apples at all) but he said it tasted delicious. I got the Apple Strudel and we got an apple pie for my mother in law.

Thats it for this Toronto and EGLX haul!
Enjoy this post as I sort through 1000+ photos for the trip to share!

Vacation Haul!!

Let’s get back into the blogging pace slowly! I’m starting with a little Vacation Haul!

If you missed the back from vacation post, I went out with my husband to Kelowna and Vancouver in British Columbia or the west coast of Canada. Kelowna was primarily to attend my cousin’s wedding and see a ton of relatives that had went there for the wedding as well. My mom’s side of the family is huge so its rare to get such a huge group of people together. Second of all, it was pretty much like a mini honeymoon for us when we got back to Vancouver. We got married in October last year but we decided to postpone the honeymoon. For us, its vacation/honeymoon but then we recently decided that we might head out to another mini getaway in October for the one year anniversary which is in planning to see if its feasible.

Regardless, we didn’t intend on buying a lot of stuff on vacation but the weather on the west coast was pretty rainy and we had phases of forgetfulness that caused some more spending.

These haul posts are pretty easy to put together as I get over jetlag so here we are!

It happens that the first full day we had in Vancouver was super rainy. In the later days, we eventually decided to head out but we took a break in between and headed to Mall Metropolis in Metrotown.

Teavana

If you know me, you know I LOVE tea! Like, I love it to absolute bits! In a later post, you’ll see my restaurant review on why I wanted to get this “tea bomb” thing. Anyways, a stop at Teavana looking for this little cute thing for making tea ended up with getting two pouches of tea. The S’mores one is for my husband and mine is the fruity Dragonfruit Devotion herbal tea!

Victoria Secret

The night before, we actually saw an ad for Victoria’s Secret for its workout stuff on sale. I’m not sure if any of you have shopped for anything at VS but its super expensive. I got there primarily for sports bras and its pretty  hefty in price but awesome quality. When they had this deal for $55 for both sports bra and workout pants, I was all in! I ended up seeking out the deal. Luckily it was also at this mall.

Instant Noodle

The story behind getting instant noodles was kind of an impulsive thing. One of my cousins mentioned to us that she knew this site for instant noodles ratings and this bad boy was the top rated in 2015. My husband went with me to T&T Supermarket to grab some refreshments for the evening and ended up seeing this one. We also bought the curry one but he ate it already.

North Face Eddie Bauer

These are the unexpected buys. Why? Because one rainy day heading up to Whistler and Squamish, I forgot my brain during breakfast. I blame not having drank any tea for this. And I forgot my raincoat at A&W where we were eating breakfast and didn’t realize until we were almost at Whistler. There wasn’t really a sale but I needed it to not catch a cold and keep warm and slightly dry. They are great quality gear though so I’m pretty happy about it! It proved to be useful for the rest of the trip. By the way, another happy thing was that we went back to A&W in the evening and it was in the lost and found. 🙂

Disney Store

I guess to wrap up the haul is that in Mall Metropolis we also came across the Disney Store.  In case you don’t know, I’m a Disney plush collector. We had limited space so I opted to get the little plushes of Jiminy Cricket and Pluto. At least that makes for getting a Disney plush in every Disney store I encounter. 🙂 They are currently my companions sitting on the printer as I type up this post!

We got some other souvenirs. Shot glasses for one of my good friends and wine and mugs for my in-laws, but they are given away now so I won’t be posting those up. The airfare and the hotel and care rental was pretty pricey for this trip so we tried to keep expenses to the minimum. Not a big haul but they were all quite satisfying finds!

What do you like from this haul?

My Weekly Adventures (plus a final callout for votes)

Welcome back to my weekly adventures! Its been refreshing to not have to waste my brain cells on writing some smart title because I really never have any stuff. Not that talented in that area 😉

This week’s adventures are really not quite adventurous and I really had to strive to find what to do for this.

We’ll do this day by day and step by step.

1) Girls Movie Night

maze runner poster

On Tuesday  night, I went with my girl friends to go see The Maze Runner.  I miraculously managed to get the review up the next day.  If you happened to have missed it, please head over HERE to check it out if it interests you 😉

2) Montreal Comic-Con Tee Turtle Shirt came in!

TeeTurtle

Ghibli characters crossing the street? Enough said, no?

3) Vampire Diaries Season 5

vampire diaries

On Friday night, I came home to wrap up the last two episodes of Season 5.  Although the first few episodes of the fifth season was a bit slow, it does pick up relatively fast.   The season finale has me looking forward to Season 6.  Plus, it gave me a pretty weepy evening when I couldn’t help but shed a few emotional tears with that somewhat dramatic ending. Cliffhanger season finales are just so great but just so frustrating also.

Next season is starting Oct. 2nd (I think) and you bet that I’m going to be catching that episode whether its on TV or the day after streaming on CTV (Canadian channel when I only have bunny ears).

4) Afternoon Date with my Boyfriend

Musee Grevin

Our Tuango coupon deal was going to expire at the end of September so we used Saturday afternoon to go on a little trip to downtown and visited one of the newer museums.  What the museum is? Can you guess with the picture on top?

I’ll be posting up on that tomorrow once I have time to sit down and sort through the pictures tonight 🙂

5) Getting started on watching the Halloween Movie Marathon

With the extensive series of Friday the 13th being the main feature, my boyfriend and I have started watching the Halloween movies this year.  Only the main feature ones for now.  How far I am? Well, I’m not going to dive into those details but once October starts, I’ll have my reviews up. I have a general run down set from the current results.  I’m taking the top 3-5 movies in each category in the voting polls that I had up 2 weeks or so ago.

With that said, as relentless as this sounds, FINAL CALL OUT for the voting on Halloween movie marathon! Tomorrow is the last day! 🙂

If you didn’t vote and would love to participate or just help a girl out or voice your opinion, head on over HERE!

If you already did, thank you so very much! You’ve just chosen the movies I’m going to watch for Halloween and I really hope that your choices get picked.  If there is any particular ones you’d like me to look at, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll make sure to add it to the marathon or the next recommendations month 😉

ALSO, as a bonus,  I’m planning on going to see some horror movies in the theatres. There’s a few I’m interested in but I’m going to need my boyfriend to go with me so he has the final decision in these situations.  Lets hope it happens 😉

6) Water and Transportation support for Oasis Half-Marathoners!

It was the real deal yesterday for my friends.  I woke up bright and early to take 3 of them to their 10K/half marathon.  I spent another hour and a half navigating through all the closed roads.  Thank you to my phone GPS, I managed to figure and regroup and finally found a parking spot. Then proceeded to wait for them to get back.

Oasis Marathon

Oasis Marathon

Everyone did great times and some had their personal high.  Plus, they all got a bonus with the run with a free beer.  They were all tired but extremely proud, I’d have to say 🙂

I’m not much of a runner but there are times, I do consider training to attempt a 10K.  Who knows? Maybe one day I will.

7) Painting almost done!

20140928_204247

Our basement is completely done painting. Its looking pretty joyful and colorful, which is good because its also extremely dark already. The lighting is bad here but the walls are mint green 🙂 I think it turned out lovely. While I was busy with helping friends out, my boyfriend was hard at work. That leads us to my next point…

8) Gardening progress!

Sunday was indeed a busy day and it took a lot to keep going. I came back and had lunch and eventually got back to my place to continue the gardening.  I actually drafted out the yard setup in my notebook to know how to proceed. A few things were accomplished after that.

Raspberry plant in the ground

Raspberry plant in the ground

Crimson Star moved and Spring bulbs planted

Crimson Star moved and Spring bulbs planted

My side plot is getting most of my attention.  You can see the green leafy plant next to chrysanthemums and thats the crimson star.  It flowers in summer.  Also, right next to it, with all the black top soil is spring bulbs.  I’m not sure if I planted them too deep, so we’ll see in Spring 2015, right? Thats just the first phase.

I’m clearing out some plants and making them smaller in the front yard so I can keep planting more bulbs.  My yard is mega depressing in spring on the flowers front so I’m seeing to it that next year, it’ll be different 😉

9) Planning for some Changes

Its a bit early to talk about it and life’s been really kind of taking a front seat over the blog(s).  Between the house and getting anything on Tranquil Dreams, its taking me forever to get some write-ups to other bloggers that I said I would.  That makes me feel pretty bad so I’m going to be working on those ASAP. If I owe you anything for any blogathon/series, I promise you, they will get there soon. I’m a bit fuzzy on deadlines right now but I’m trying to get them in.

Surprising fact is that my brain loves to overwhelm itself even more as I try to organize myself.  I think it just likes to be in constant chaos.  What do I mean? Somehow, I’m inspired for a few tweaks for the blog, which I’m sorting out the little bits and pieces to launch for next year.  Perhaps, I’m playing around with a rating system, a long term project and I’m deciding when that new segment, Crush of the Week/Month should launch. I’m just debating if it should be weekly or monthly.

10) Ending these adventures off with some music…

You thought it’d never end, right? Well, I like to end in style and here we are. The first is a little piece from The Piano Guys called Batman Evolution.  The score arrangement is pretty genius!

Second, its a song I recently heard on the radio: Wanderlust by The Weeknd.  It has a nice beat 🙂

Thats it for this week’s adventures! 🙂

How was your weekend? What series are you watching? Anyone also closing up their gardens before the frost arrives? Any music addictions lately?

HAPPY MONDAY, MY LOVELIES! 🙂

Summer Fun Keeps Going On! :)

I can’t think of creative titles for summer anymore.  There’s only so many ways I can say that this summer is totally awesome.  The weather is beautiful and I’ve had some nice activities and some cool stuff coming up.  I’ve been totally loving the festivals and I think the autumn round of festivals in Montreal are the next ones I’m looking at now. Life’s been really treating me nice.  I’ve thought a few things through, set a few priorities straight and learned a whole lot about myself.  Really? That revelation in the last week made me extremely grateful to be alive and breathing. Sure, things don’t go perfect everyday but I also learned that with the bad comes the good and thats how things balance out.  I’m absolutely fine with that because at the end of the day, its the good stuff that sticks in my mind. I think back and I smile before I go to bed to welcome the next day.

Yes, rambling again..I know.  Still, lets check out some nice stuff that happened this week 🙂

1) Planning Weekend Getaways

Quebec roads

On the way to Saguenay Lac St Jean, 2012

I used this picture for last week’s photo challenge but its relevant to what I’m about to say.  I actually have a weekend getaway coming up soon (*ahem* like this weekend).  My boyfriend and I have been obsessing over our house so much that we just thought it would be a good idea to go away for a weekend since this is his last week of vacation this year.  So, we’re heading back to the beautiful and scenic Saguenay Lac St Jean area of Quebec.  Thats the road we probably will be travelling again through a fauna reserve/park. We have some hiking planned and a festival and perhaps some shopping if there are some good deals.  Maybe some waterfront walking.  In general, just time to relax.

I may have another weekend getaway coming up with my girl friends but thats still in discussion 😉

Some people save money for luxury products/makeup/clothes, etc. I like to save it up for my house and going away (and movies).  What can I say? We all have our little pleasures.

2) Sweet Potato Flowers

Sweet Potato

Sweet potato flower

I didn’t really know that sweet potatoes had flowers but apparently this one does and they have this cute light hue of purple.  It was hidden under the crazy amount of leaves but I saw it this past weekend and snapped a quick photo of it.

3) Raspberries!

Raspberry plant

Raspberries growing

They aren’t quite red and ripe yet but my raspberries are quite abundant.  They are drinking water like crazy and I’m actually struggling to keep them hydrated with the intense heat that took over last week.  I filled up two bottles and 24 hours later it was all gone.  Maybe its time for a 3rd bottle or just soak the soil through before inserting another bottle.  I’ll probably have to check that out tonight.

4) Into the Storm Advanced Screening!

Into the storm

If you follow my blog, you already know that I’ve been increasing the whole output of movie reviews and who knows, maybe I’ll change it to Tranquil Dreams Reviews one day. Its definitely something rolling around in my head since I do reviews of movies among other things.  Or I’ll expand it a little.  Whatever it is, I’m passionate about movies and Fantasia Festival this year has given me a few revelations.  One is that I’ve become more confident in my opinion of movies because when I sit in the Q&A and I listen to the questions, I realize that a lot of people actually have similar overanalytical personalities.  Like, although I’m scared to talk about it sometimes like ask about it during Q&A, I secretly have thought that.  Just a few movies have made me feel like, I’m not totally crazy..haha! Thats already pretty good and its a nice feeling.

Anyways, we’re not here to talk about that..  My FIRST advanced screening, my friends.  I may have not gotten the special screening of Guardians of the Galaxy but man, this was a completely different experience just being at the advanced screening and for a movie I wanted to see, Into the Storm 🙂

Review for that coming up with the next 24 hours 😉 I’m a tad behind on reviews but I’m trying to write the best I can for them so I’m giving each movie a few days to sink in a little.

5) Shopping spree!

I’ve been really trying to change my wardrobe a little since my style has slightly changed as well and its been a while that I’ve stocked up on summer clothes, especially  not that I’m a tad more comfortable with my physical appearance.  I need to get back to working out and toning but point is, I’ve been more comfortable with everything and well, the initial idea was to go groceries and to look for new shoes for work.  I usually go in running shoes but then when I want to wear summer dresses, I need flats.  I ended up coming home with some wedge sandals which look pretty good and are rather adorable. You can see them up there.  I got the beige ones.  I also got some clothes on sale at Dynamite and for those who don’t know, Jacob is bankrupt so everything is on sale right now 40-60% off and I got that dress which still cost me quite a bit but the quality was worth it 🙂

6) Date Night

The Drownsman

Date Night with my boyfriend is a rarity nowadays, especially when it means moving our butts from our place.  This weekend, it was a date afternoon till night.  I had scheduled in two movies: The Drownsman and Time Lapse and we were out from 4pm till midnight.  The two movies weren’t disappointing and one totally exceeded my expectations.  Plus, both was hosted by people involved in the movie.  The Drownsman, which is the picture you see up there had almost its whole cast there and a bunch of people involved from director, producers, editors, sounds, etc. It filled up the whole stage.  Time Lapse also had it too with their producers and screenwriters.  It was very awesome.

Then we actually discovered in between the movies, a restaurant called Charcos Rotisseries, a chicken place.  We stopped there for dinner.

wpid-20140802_195042.jpg

wpid-20140802_195038.jpg

This place makes some pretty delicious fries.  I found the Chicken fingers a bit dry but the grilled vegetables were done really well. My boyfriend at the chicken burger and he said it was heavenly.  We followed up with iced tea lemonades at Starbucks and then a little bit of arcades in between the two movies.

7) At home Brunch

Brunch

Brunch

My boyfriend started his last week of vacation so on Sunday morning, we went for early groceries and he was super awesome and made us a complete hearty breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon.  Yummy! 🙂

8) ONE FINAL REVELATION

quotes

Yup, right on! I made a lot of revelations this year about myself: blogging, movies, analysis, life, work, positive outlook and the final one I had just last night was fully accepting this. I’m completely okay with this but I saw something last night and reminded me that there are some things thats really worth it to let go of. Not a frequent occurrence so I won’t say too much.

Now, before I leave you, how about some music to loosen up the mood a little?

Super fun video for Sam Tsui’s Wildfire.  Love it! 🙂

Now that overtime is over and Fantasia is rolling to its end with one more movie left, I’m all yours…well, until I go on my getaways, that is 😉

Happy Monday my lovelies! 🙂
