Welcome to this year’s Christmas Special for Music Obsessions! We will be getting right down to business as we take a look at some Christmas song covers that I’ve found were pretty decent over the past month or so.
I’m going to not go and talk too much about any of these choices and just let you all listen to it and enjoy! Today’s a day to celebrate and probably not a lot of you are sitting by the computer or looking at the phone anyways. I just wanted to share some Christmas music and take it easy!

Today is a nice and relaxing Christmas so we’re going to take it super easy and have some lovely Christmas music!
I did promise it earlier this month. 😉 We all know that you have that Christmas music playing anyways, right? I’m giving you all some alternative to the radio music.
Christmas music floods our stores and radios and even our homes. I know it does. If I went to my in-laws right now, 24/7 (I exaggerate, maybe like 18/7) Christmas music. That’s how much they love Christmas. We love it equally, minus the hardcore music playing. Still, Youtube always has some nice covers and mash-ups and here are a few that I’ve liked a lot in the last few weeks 🙂

All I Want For Christmas (in minor key)-Kurt Hugo Schneider ft. Chase Holfelder
This one’s a little different. My husband isn’t a fan but I think it has a nice eerie twist to it. It could be that I just saw Krampus and heard it that night. It had a good atmosphere going on.
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – Straight No Chaser
The More You Give (The More You’ll Have) – Michael Buble
Mary Did You Know? – Peter Hollens
What do you think of these song? Its quite a bit of change with a lot of a cappella covers. I always like to add in Michael Buble. Its been a while since I’ve heard his smooth voice. As for Kurt Hugo Schneider’s covers, he’s done two of these minor key ones and they are a little weird at first but it does grow on me. A very unique take on the music.
That’s it for Music Obsessions. I’m planning to keep them with 5 song selections from now on. Its a reasonable amount and won’t be overburdening 😉

It’s Saturday! Christmas is in a few days! Before I get to the million things to do for Christmas, there is really no better time to start checking out/sharing Christmas songs (if you haven’t already, because the radios have been since December 1st).
My YouTube subscriptions are piling up with a ton of Christmas music from various artists over the last week. Lets share a few that I’ve been pretty impressed with!

Straight No Chaser is so fun to listen to and this song is just cute and fun and totally awesome! 🙂 It always makes me break out in song (and dance) and everything so happy, light and fluffy!
Baby It’s Christmas – Travis-Atreo Graham ft. Colton Haynes
The song itself is warm and soothing. Travis-Atreo Graham has a very nice voice but c’mon Colton Haynes is a handsome guy (Arrow fans know that) and he can sing. His smile at 2:16 just makes me want to snuggle up next to the fire also.
You and Christmas – Rusty Clanton and Tessa Violet
Rusy and Tessa are two artists that have amazing chemistry when they work together in these cute collabs. I remember back in Valentine’s when they made another one of these and it is just sweet and adorable.
Where are You Christmas – Faith Hill (Nick Pitera cover)
Suffice to say that I like this song a lot (especially since I did a piano cover of this song last Christmas) and since I’m sure Faith Hill doesn’t need me to post her music, I decided to post this very good cover by Nick Pitera. This guy has this incredible vocal range and he never stops to amaze me with what he can do. Liking this one a lot!
Let it Snow – Justin Robinett
Something a little more classic Christmas music and Justin Robinett is totally fantastic. He doesn’t have as many covers but I love his voice. I always love what he puts out and with a new solo around the corner, I’m definitely pre-ordering it.
Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy – Pentatonix
Now to classic music but in acapella version by Pentatonix. This year’s most recent and one of the best discoveries is this group. They are really amazing and who knew it would sound so exceptionally fantastic to do Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy like this.

You had to have seen this one coming, right? I was going to do it on Christmas Eve but I figured maybe you all need some increase of holiday spirit! I was lacking it up to earlier tonight. I think it has to do with a fantastic Friday night but I`ll talk about that tomorrow 🙂
Have your radio stations started playing 24/7 Christmas music? It started today on the fabulous music and it was great companion when I was baking for my first batch of cookies. That will be up soon! It reminded me of a lot of music and I figured I’d do this today!
Obviously, I just picked up versions of the recent ones I’ve heard but essentially, I like them with other artists as well as the original.
Here you go! Its not a complete list at all but just off the top of my head, these came to mind especially since a lot of Youtube independent artists have done a fantastic job. I’ve shared a few other videos before so I’m trying to not repeat and well, N’Sync is just awesome so I put them last. It always puts me into a good mood to hear it 🙂
