Photography 101: Edge

Today is all about straight edges, and tweaking your image to ensure your lines are perfectly positioned.

Today, show us an edge — a straight line, a narrow ridge, a precipice.

To make sure your edge packs a punch, use a photo editing tool to check the alignment and adjust the image, if needed, so that your edge is perfectly straight.- The Daily Post

So, I’m really bad at edges.  Not sure where I’ll find one and time is not really  abundant for me to scout out. Inspired by the Daily Post image, I took the similar concept of windows and doors and used those straight lines in this wall art.

On the way, I also found these little decorative planters used for simple Christmas decorations. Not sure how to angle the picture and I’m typing this up before work so I’d say the straight lines of the bin work well to contrast the colorful berry and not so straight faux branches.

Not a lot of “edge”, not even sure it packs a punch but we gotta work with whats around us, right? Just a simple city girl, my lovelies 😉
