Weekly Photo Challenge: Change

Change is inevitable and is essentially everywhere. From ourselves, the people around us, our surroundings, and our environment and most recently, the weather…

Last week, the weather started dropping a bit and sat below average through the whole week. On Thursday, everywhere calmed down at night. It was the calm before the storm. On Friday morning, we started seeing some small bits of white stuff drifting around.

It was so light that you can’t even see it in the picture above. It started getting a bit heavier during the day and eventually when noon approached, it was getting heavy. By the time we got out of work, it looked like this…

Over the weekend, the weather got better and the snow pretty much melted by Saturday evening. Yesterday at lunch Β it was looking beautiful with lots of sun. Β It gave us a wonderful reflection on the waterfront. The gloomy weather up there is now gone πŸ™‚

Blue skies and nice orange hue reflecting on the water from the boat with the help of the beautiful sunlight…yesterday was a gorgeous day! I even got to crack out my “new” sunglasses (that I got in Hong Kong last year and never had the chance to use it in Canada yet).

Actually, my sunglasses are also change for me. Β These are the first time I’ve had changed to such big frames and alarmingly, I’m starting to like this cool look πŸ˜‰

One of the best things is to get off work and take a walk home with the warm sun beams as it slowly sets behind the houses in the distance πŸ™‚

Thats definitely a change from just a few days ago on Friday! Spring is here and the seasons have finally changed! πŸ™‚

Although today, we know spring is also here because its one of those windy and rainy days, but as long as the snow holds up. I`m happy with the seasonal change..before we know it summer will be on its way as well!

This is my response to this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge with theme: CHANGE!

  1. Great pictures. I think it is fascinating to see another place through the eyes of someone who lives there. I hope you are right and spring is on the the way for good. It feels like it here. I also like the big glasses. Very hipster and cool. πŸ™‚ Hope you have a wonderful day spying for Canada.

  3. I liked your “day in the life” collage (I think that’s how you spell it)! First, the building: great shot. It’s what I’ve seen in downtown Toronto when getting off work, but yours has a bit more character. I like that about Quebec. So much character with the buildings! Last, that’s a beautiful photo of you. The way the light compliments the scene makes for a story to tell!

    • You know you captured everything I wanted to show in the pictures! πŸ™‚ Quebec is all about making the old stuff look new. But they are also learning that being innovative and creative is good also..art and old and new compliment each other. Its a nice concept!

With my picture, I was aiming to get to show the sun in the background with my sunglasses..Makes it more real than randomly taking on in the building πŸ™‚
      Thanks!
