Daily Prompt: The Satisfaction of a List

Sunday’s daily promptWho doesn’t love a list? So write one! Top five slices of pizza in your town, ten reasons disco will never die, the three secrets to happiness — go silly or go deep, just go list-y.

I have lists for EVERYTHING! You know why? Because I’m forgetful…but no, I’m not going to give you pains as to what part of the house I need to clean and the whole Cinderella things in my life.  My mind went into crazy choices of what list to make since Sunday morning.  Till now, I’ll probably end up jump start multiple lists to fit the whole versatility that this is all about…

This has changed direction as I started writing that paragraph up there…I was going to do my Top 5 Hong Kong Action Movies, but then, I decided to be more on the Hong Kong Action Stars BUT in light of the Boston bombings, I’ve decided to steer away from violent themes and stick to my backup plan!

LIST OF PLACES/EXHIBITS TO VISIT THIS SUMMER/YEAR! (I actually just jotted these down last week, so perfect timing…)

1) The Beatles in Montreal at Pointe a Calliere Museum (LINK)

2) Planet Shark: Predator or Prey at Montreal Science Center (LINK)

3) Visit the new Planetarium (LINK)

4) Revisiting Ottawa’s The Canadian Tulip Festival (LINK)

5) Wine Route: Printemps Rosé in Eastern Townships (LINK)

6) Wine Route: Journée des Cidres/The Cider Route in Monteregie (LINK)

7) Le Temps des Lilas/ lilac Season (LINK)

8) Mosaicultures internationales at Montreal Botanical Garden (LINK)

9) She&Him (Zooey Deschanel!) for Montreal Jazz Festival (still have to get tickets…)

10) Agricultural Fair in Trois Rivieres, QC (site for 2013 not up yet)

Coincidentally my list had 10 items 🙂 There are many other events, like I’m still planning for the 2 weeks vacation split in 2 separate weeks or weekends, depending on what happens.  Lots of lists are being drafted in my notebook right now 🙂 After that its decisions to see what we can do!

Any of these events sound fun to you? I’ve always wanted to do a wine route..lets hope it’ll happen this year. I had to go and ruin this morning’s coolness with going back to my nerdy roots and listing as the first few items as Sharks and Planets ;).

To my Montreal friends (I think some of them read it..haha), any of them interest you that you want to go with me..FB or text or email me, k? Don’t be shy 🙂

I really had fun with this and I have a few more list  ideas! Whose down for more lists? Any suggestions?

  1. I’m interested in anything with the word “wine” in it. I would also love the planetarium. I went to the one in Chicago. Excellent. And I did go to the Montreal Jazz Festival one year. I think it’s around my birthday, so a good time to visit Montreal. 🙂

    • I’ve been meaning to do the wine route in Niagara on the Lake..I’ve only been to one winery there for my cousin’s wedding and they make an awesome riesling. Legends Estate, maybe you’ve tried it?

The planetarium just got revamped and it has cutting edge technology..they had a whole article about it. I want to check it out..haha!
You should come for Jazz Festival. Montreal welcomes you 🙂

      • Niagara has really grown as a wine producer. Every time I go, there are new wineries. I have been to Legends, but don’t remember it. I just looked it up; it’s in Beamsville. About a 40 minute drive. The village of Jordan is nearby and also has a cheese factory…cheese and wine!!! They’re all fun. How can you go wrong?

I’m overdue for a visit to Montreal. It’s been a few years. 🙂
