*If you saw another post (for those who have it to their emails) earlier today, I apologize because I was testing out the post by email and there were some technical difficulties
Hopefully this one gets published again and everything will work out alright!*
The first official phoneography challenge kicks off with the awesome theme of my neighborhood. This morning, in the not so little suburbs of Brossard where I live, about 15 mins from Montreal island by car, it was beautiful. I think it was like 5-8 degrees Celsius. Making it a gorgeous day to run some errands and then after that, I came back and went out for an afternoon stroll for this challenge. By the time, my boyfriend gets off work, I’m not sure if the sun would still be there. Here I am dressed up in my lighter coat, my bag and my tablet and we’re out!

Now lets be on our way to check out my little neighborhood!
I took a walk out of my street onto a bigger street where there is a forest that lines the autoroute in the back. There is also a little section for a park where my mom does her morning exercise with her friends, like Tai Chi. That sort of thing. They have been doing it for like 15 years together..some stay and some move away but they always go to hang out, exercise and chat in the morning. Its pretty cool. Right along this forest is the bike path, as you go along it, its been made nicer to have little pretty lamp posts and then an open area for the bike path stretches throughout Brossard. I usually take my bike in the summer to bike out to downtown too. Man, now I missing summer..lets hope it gets here soon. I’m due to start biking in April once my workout buddy starts training for the marathon
Here is my quick snapshots of my neighborhood. If you would like to join this challenge, head over HERE!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!

I’m hoping to get out tomorrow to get a few photos…supposed to be near 70 degrees…I just love it!
Awesome stuff! Good weather! Perfect time for taking pictures
Have fun tomorrow!
thanks!
Looks like a nice area. Lots of green space. not how I remember Montreal.
I live in the suburbs. So, its definitely not like Montreal. Very much residential
You have a forest in your backyard, that’s awesome!!! Do you walk that path often? I was really excited to read that your mom does morning exercise with her friends…always found it funny and awesome that elderly Chinese love to have their grandma-parties at 6am for stuff like that! It’s cool to hear they do that in Montreal too!
Different areas have their own. Its their own little activity because a lot of them don’t work so they exercise. Its good for them so I don’t really mind. Nice way to socialize
Although they have pushed back the time now as everyone got older, they only meet up at 9pm now
Looks like a wonderful place to live.. but it also looks cold out there… stay indoors it must be warmer… love the photos..
It actually wasn’t. It was nice spring weather finally, a few degree Celsius. Compared to the winter that had -40C it felt wonderful
Thanks!
Where I live a few degrees Celsius would be the mid winter and I’d be inside the house.. I’m used to heat,, the sun of Sunny South Africa…
Sunny South Africa *gasps* I totally get it then! Must be gorgeous over there. Heat to us is vacation time
cool pics but that looks cold as hell. brrrrr
Another one telling me its cold..its was like 8C yesterday..thats warm around here.
I have no idea what that even means I should have paid more attention when we covered the metric system once a week every year
Truth be told I moved from Boston to the California to escape the cold. brrrrr
Say Kim if you get a chance swing by our humble film blog and let me know what you think.

Gorgeous area, Kim! Your neighborhood must be the perfect place to take photos during the autumn. I can see the beautiful colors and spectacular hues now. You’re so lucky!
I’ve lived here pretty much all my life. Its nice and calm. Those trees change colors and it does get quite beautiful
Plus a few neighbors have the maple trees. Us, we take the lazy way and just have pine trees..although pine needles are hard to clear as well
Thanks Jack!

I doubt I will be in Montreal any time soon, so you don’t have to worry about me sneaking up on you down your street. You did a great job showing off your neighborhood though.
If you drop by Montreal Joe, I welcome you here
Thanks!
